On December 23, three police officers were killed after responding to a domestic violence call in Lyons, France. The suspect, a 48-year-old man, was known for child custody issues. He shot three officers upon entry, one of whom died. Later, he set fire to the house, killing two more police officers with gunshots. He fled in a car before crashing into a tree.
