Since the LEAGUE OF NATIONS forced Germany to become a democracy, many Germans and especially the elite did not like it. So after the NSDAP won the election in 1932 the German elite used their power to convince the president to appoint Adolf Hitler as Chancellor of Germany. Hitler then, with the power he received, held another election but still did not have enough votes to gain all power. But after the NAZIS used intimidation they got the Reichstag to pass a law that gave Hitler all power in March 1933. The Nazis quickly made a totalitarian state. Their superior world view criticized Jews and democrats and believed the
Master race (Germans and north European peoples) to be superior than all other races. Hitler was the one and only Führer of Germany with his party; the NSDAP. Hitler used the BDM and Hitler Jugend as propaganda aimed towards children and used lots of propaganda to convince the people of his view and to control their thinking. The SA beat up Jews and before Hitler banned them also supporters of other parties and Hitler also had a secret police that followed and imprisoned probable opponents of his view. Hitler sent all of his opponents to CONCENTRATION CAMPS.
