During the siege of Bexar, Deaf Smith saw a Mexican pack train. Texian troops attacked the wagon lead by James Bowie. They thought the pack train carried silver to pay Mexicans stuck in San Antonio but it turned out to just be grass to feed their horses. 3 Mexicans were killed but nothing really came from the skirmish.
