In 284 B.C a man rose to the imperial throne who would completely change the face of the empire. His name was Diocletian. Dioclentian understood the major promblem in ruling a big Empire, he knew it could not be ruled by one person onlly. So the first action taken by the new empire was to Divide the Empiror into two.
