The execution of Priscillian, the Bishop of Avila, by order of Maximus, Emperor of the West.
Priscillian was a baptized Catholic (i.e., non-Arian) and a staunch defender of the Nicene Creed.
This is the first documented instance of Christians
condemning fellow Christians to death for doctrinal differences.
