The title translates to “The salvation of our God”. It is an Organum quadruplum (four parts), and is a setting on the Viderunt Omnes from the Mass for Christmas Day. Only the solo sections are polyphonic. All the upper parts use the rhythmic modes throughout, which reflects his generation’s preference for modal rhythm.
