TomTugendhat, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the British House of Commons, said Britain had an obligation to pre-1997 Hong Kong people, arguing that Hong Kong people holding British National (Overseas) passports should be given full British nationality, and called on all parties to calm down and start a conversation.
