Born in 1445 in Florence Italy, died 1510. Renaissance painter, known as one of the best of the Florentine Renaissance. (His nickname was little jug) His career consisted of work that is not fully naturalistic. He is most famous for his work Birth of Venus and Primavera. Birth of Venus was purely decorative, not realistic at all, he was concerned with telling a story rather than correctness. And primavera was less naturalistic and contained traits of Gothic art, it was also less three dimensional.
