The Constitutional Convention was held in order to decide how America would be governed. After the Articles of Confederation failed, they needed to revise it in order for the new government to succeed. They decided they wanted to create a new government instead of trying to fix the existing one. The Constitutional Convention was significant BECAUSE it allowed the people of America to come together to try and agree on a form of government to rule their new country.
