Around 3:30 p.m., a woman reported a man firing shots at her inside the home. Several agencies responded. Negotiators contacted with the man for hours. He allegedly threatened to shoot the woman and officers with the Iowa State Patrol broke into the home, and Troopers James Smith, Tyrel Williamson and Jeremy Schaffer shot and killed Darwin Barnett Foy.
