Hinman reportedly had been involved in a hit-and-run at around 1 p.m. Police reports said Hinman hit a blue Chevy Silverado with his own SUV, spoke with the woman reporting the collision, and proceeded to barricade himself in his home. He was killed during an exchange of gunfire with police.
