On the 3rd of December, 500 miners gathered under the Eureka Flag. This was the Eureka Stockade/Rebellion. It was a rebellion and caused be a disagreement for the gold miners rights and laws. This rebellion was a clash between the miners and the police. The outcome of this clash was to get equality of all miners. In the end, the miners won.

This developed Australia by the miners getting the equality they wanted. The joeys or police officers were always treating the miners poorly and they were harassing some of them. All the miners showed bravery, courage, persistence and determination.

After the miners got the equality they wanted, it created democracy. Democracy is when every can vote and the country governs themselves.
