*Just as Cortes was, Francisco Pizzaro was also a Conquistador.* He was sent by the Spanish to lead multiple expeditions into South America, with his final one being his most important. He departed from Panama, landing in Ecuador and heading south. He linked up with Atahualpa at Cajamarca, they then posted up at Cuzco for one final battle where Pizzaro's Conquistadors destroyed Atahualpa and conquered the entire Incan empire and claimed it in the name of Spain.
