I. *Following Columbus' journeys to the Americas, the Spanish began sending more and more people to the New World, known as the Conquistadors.* These people were hired by the Spanish to explore and conquer territories in the New World for Spain. They were characterized by their armor and their guns, which they used to fight with the Natives. The Conquistadors primarily fought in South and Central America.
