The Darfur place was a very attrative territory. And that is why the British wanted to conquer this place. On 1 March 1916 hostilities began between the Sudanese government and the Sultan of Darfur. Then; by May the force was close to the Darfur capital of El Fasher. After the expedition, Darfur was incorporated into Sudan.
