On December 7, 1941, right after the Japanese forces attacked the Pearl Harbour, Great Britain , also an ally of the United States was now officially in a war with the Japanese. After a few hours from the Pearl Harbour attack the Japanese went to attack Hong Kong from the north side. Allied forces with Hong Kong (Kowloon and New Territories) went to Hong Kong island.
