Many people say that even though Jesus's birthday as 25 December 0, models of possible astronomical events corresponding with the Star of Bethlehem show that Jesus's birthday may have actually been between 3-7 BCE. Also, since shepherds were watching over flocks the night of Jesus' s birth and his parents came to Bethlehem to register a Roman census, Jesus Christ's birthday may well be in the spring or fall, and not in the midst of winter.
