Potsdam Conference - Truman meeting Stalin after Germany surrenders. Discussed how to reform Germany and its government.

Atomic Bomb- Truman ordered the dropping of atomic bombs on both Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Resulted in a speedy end for World War II.

Truman Doctrine - To halt the spread of communism, Truman issued this in order to protect democracies from authoritarian control. This was his policy of containment

NATO - NATO was formed by USA, Canada, and other European nations. Its main reason was as an alliance to help democracy grow and to prevent Soviets and communism from spreading.

Korean War - Truman sent troops to SK to help against fighting NK. It was basically a fight against communism, as NK was being backed by China.
