The Great Depression was a worldwide economic depression, the stock market crashed and personal income, tax revenue, profit, and prices all dropped and international trade fell by more than 50%. These negative effects lasted until the beginning of WWll. 12 million people were hired into the military during WWll, which helped lower unemployment to 10% or lower.
