Pharaoh Snefru ruled from 2655-2607 B.C. Unlike most pharaohs, he gained power through marriage. The well-known Pharaoh Khufu was his son. Khufu was one of his eight sons and five daughters. During his rule, he also constructed the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid.
