The Mowhawks, Oneidas, Onondagas, Cayugas, Senecas joined together in either 1141 or 1451. They shared culture, language, and religion. However, they did have tribe specific dialects. The tribes lived peacefully among themselves, but collaborated in military efforts against other tribes.
