The Casas Viejas Massacacre was a byproduct of an attempt at a revolution. The workers of casas viejas during one of their demonstrations iinjured/ wounded two guards which lead to the government trying to stomp out their revolution by sending the Civil guard and assault gaurd. Many illagers fled and the anarchists barracaded themselves in the homes of the villagers in an attempt to escape arrest the military decided to burn down the houses containin anyone who opposed them and in the process killed 24 people. This then lead to the people losing trust in the left which caused them to lose the next election.
