Brazil) Uruguay didn’t fight in a war, but there was a war on it’s land. Argentina and Brazil fought over it for a while before signing a treaty that made Uruguay an independent country and a buffer between the 2 countries. The treaty was made in 1828 but it wasn’t official approved until July 18, 1830
