William Shakespeare was born in Stratford England, April 23rd 1564. Shakespeare did not go to university, he was married to Anne Hathaway, had a daughter and a set of twins, Hamlet died. In the 1580s he moved from Stratford and in the 90s he started writing and acting.

William Shakespeares perhaps most famous works are Romeo and Juliet , Hamlet and Macbeth, he wrote comedy, tragedies and love stories. Shakespeare uses clever and complex metaphors describing human emotion and thoughts. He introduced about 3000 words to the English language, for example countless and assassination. Most of his plays played in the Globe Theatre, he wrote 154 sonnets, Sonnet comming from the german word Sonne, meaning sun. The sonnets were supposed to brighten up your day.
