a spinning jenny is a multi-spindle spinning frame. This device revolutionise the process of cotton spinning at the time. this contraption used its eight spindles onto which the thread was spun, so by turning just one wheel the person using this machine could now spin eight threads at once. it was invented by James Hargraves in 1767 in Lancashire, England.
