Second mission to land humans on the Moon. They landed in Oceanus Procellarum, the “Ocean of Storms” while Richard Gordon remained in lunar orbit inside the Apollo command and service module. Collected surface samples and removed tv camera from Surveyor 3 and returned both of those to earth.
