In June of 1912, Alan Turing was born in Maida, London while his father Julius was on a work leave from his position in the ICS (Indian civil service.)
His birth was recorded on a blue plaque plastered on the side of his birth home.

Because of his father's work, his parents would travel constantly between hastings and India, leaving their two boys in the care of a retired couple.
