Of the increase in US renewable energy production between 2008 and 2018, 90% of that increase came from wind and solar. Hydro and other renewables have remained at roughly the same level. Currently, wind and solar make up about 50% of renewable production. Hydro and other renewables make up the other 50%. (Marcy)
