In the 70’s and 80’s, there was a huge increase in the writing of theatre pieces for children. Key writers of these plays are David Holman and Dennis Foon. The plays during this time reflected the concerns that children would have had during the 1980’s (Barter, Graham,2002). Many of the plays directed by Holman reflect a heavy concern for the environment.
