The Treaties of Velasco- May 14, 1836, There were two treaties the Public Treaty and the Secret Treaty. The public treaty included the provision that Santa Anna would never again fight Texas and leave immediately. The secret treaty said that Santa Anna agreed to try to convince the Mexicos government to recognize the Independence of Texas.
