Sam Houston and his troops, including Juan Seguin and Mirabeau Lamar, attacked the Mexican army during their siesta. The battle only lasted 18 minutes, and Mirabeau Lamar led a cavalry charge. Santa Anna disguised as a common soldier, and they captured him a few days later.
