On November 26, 1835, became the last engagement in the siege of San Antonio before the final Texan assault on the townErastus Deaf Smith was the one who informed the Texans that a supposed Mule Train With Silver to pay Cos troops was headed to San Antonio. So James Bowie along with William H. Jack was sent to attack the Mule train. They were successful and brought the Mule train to there camp only to find that that silver was actually grass to feed the animals in San Antonio.
