Legend has it that the remaining apostles came to the conclusion that Thomas should venture to the lands of India with the Gospel. Stephen arrives and meets King Gundaphorus. Thomas faced persecution, and eventually death, but the Indian Thomist Christians still claim to trace their beginnings back to the apostle's work in their country.
