Named After its 64-Bit central processing unit. The N64 was the last home console to use cartridges as its primary storage medium until the arrival of the Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo 64 had many accessories like other Nintendo
systems before it. The system has a controller that plugged into the controller and allows players to save data of games that a compatible with the Controller Pak. The Jumper Pak is an essential accessory that is need if there is no expansion Pak inserted into the controller, without ether of these accessories the screen will not display what on the console. the Expansion Pak increase the systems RAM by 4 making it 8MB of RAM. This is needed to play some 3 N64 games which are these cartridge games Donkey Kong 64 and these two games that came bundled with the accessory which are Perfect Dark, and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask and all 64DD software. Most games use the Pak to increase the graphic enhancements of the game being played. The Rumble Pak allows for vibrational feedback to in game events, if a player gets hit then the controller will vibrate. Also plugs into the controller and is called the Transfer Pak. The Transfer Pak allows the Transfer of data between the consoles own games and Game Boy or Game Boy Color games. There is a slot for Game Boy and Game Boy Color games and a slot for it to plug into the N64 controller. Only works on compatible games like Pokémon Stadium and Pokémon Stadium 2. Notable games are Super Mario 64 and Super Smash bros.
