Around 1915 film posters began to change from using high energy action shots to advertise these films.

D.W. Griffith's intolerance, revolutionised the new shift from action shots for the poster, to themes that the main character will go through. More depth would begin to be built up more through the poster, as characters started to become more interesting the general audiences.
