Building the Future: The New Zealand Housing Strategy was released by the Minister of Housing. The strategy set out a ten-year plan for housing under the following areas of action:
• sustainable housing supply;
• assistance and affordability;
• home ownership;
• private rental sector;
• housing quality;
• sector capability; and
• meeting diverse needs.
