The Playstation 2 was the successor to the Playstation, and had plenty of time to improve on it's graphics and storage. The Playstation 2 delivered, which amazing 3D graphics that took the gaming world by storm, as well as improved storage and memory capabilities. Furthermore the system had higher quality sounds which allowed more realistic games. One of the games that showed the power of the Playstation 2 was Shadow of the Colossus, which demonstrated that the Playstation 2 could run full open world populated by gigantic beasts.
