The Atari was a home console that had quite a few games in it's line-up, however is quite famous for these games being poor in quality. The Atari used cartridges to store games rather than having them on the console, this means that most of the storage was on the cartridges. The Atari 2600 used much more advanced graphics than its predecessors, as it included colour as well as better looking sprites so that you could somewhat tell what you were looking at. The Atari had quite a few games, and at launch came with a game called "Combat", however this later changed to the game Pacman, which is still wellknown to this day. A very popular game for the Atari 2600 at the time was a game called "Pitfall", which included several different areas in the game, which was something that hadn't been used much in the past apart from arcade games which used different levels of the game.
