In 1996, it was determined that Canadian Plains provinces hold 46% of North America's Bison population, throughout the 21 century the demand for Bison has grown considerably in many European countries, because Bison is seen as such an exotic meat. Which has also lead to a significant number of foreign investments into the Canadian bison market.-
