NATO stands for North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It was an association between the U.S., Canada, and some Western European countries. The point of the association was to provide protection from the Soviet Union for any participating countries. This is significant because it was a passive-aggressive attack against the Soviet Union. Which also caused the Warsaw Pact. The coloring is blue, because it was an alliance between other powerful countries against the Soviet Union.
