kiyoko was given mutant powers by alec's dad which is how she survived the fire, so she now goes by the name alta and she was raised in that home from dp2, which is where kodoku finds her (with help from alec, who unknown to kodoku was doing research on his father and came across kiyoko in the skimpy digital records of the facility and tracked her to the home)
