1 янв 1954 г. - 1954 - Operation Wetback was an effort by the US and Mexican governments to counter illegal immigration from Mexico to the United States. It began the process of rapid arrest and deportation that would define US relations with illegal immigrants on the Southern border for decades. Additionally, it ended an era of relative freedom of movement across the Southern border.
