• Pettra is at the intersection of Mediterranean, Egypt
• Khazneh- monumental tomb, via siq (narrow curving canyon)
• Diverse architecture
• Over 3000 niches were associated as tombs but, no bodiescor as living quarters
• Façade represent Hellenistic style
