After World War II, the United States and other democratic western countries formed NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. It said that if any country was attacked by an outside nation, they would help defend each other.

This is Globalism/Internationalist because this treaty is all about others, not just us/me come first or what do I get from it. It is all about helping others without asking anything in return.

This is soft-power because the US is helping other countries who would be attacked by any outside nations.
