It was about this time that Mormon’s son, Moroni, was called to the ministry. As it is clear from the record that Moroni was not with Mormon at this time, there had to have been someone else with proper authority to ordain Moroni.
Moroni would have been about 20 at this time. This is a lot of speculation, but is based on textual evidence as well as required timing.
