This battle was between America and Japan, and it was a big naval battle. Japan was planning a secret attack on the US navy to take out their ships and aircrafts. The japanese had secret codes that they would use to communicate with each other so that the enemy wouldn’t know what they were planning, but we were able to break it. Japan sent in their carriers one at a time to get ready to ambush our navy, but instead, we were waiting for them. With japan only sending in one carrier at a time, the US were now able to take out enough of their ships. America become on the offensive side of the war after the battle of midway.
