Описание:

Sometime after Nephi fled from his brethren the Lord placed a terrible curse on Laman and his followers. This curse was a darker skin, being nearly black.
The purpose of this curse was to make the Lamanites less attractive to the Nephites, so as to discourage them from mixing. As the Lamanites followed a false and wicked tradition, and marriages between them and the Nephites would have caused the Nephites to fall from the true faith (as Israel had done many times in the past).
Another aspect of the curse was that it would follow the descendants of the Lamanites. In other words, if a Nephite married a Lamanite, than their children would also bare the curse.
