In this year the Gadianton Robbers continued to receive great strength from various dissenters. This time it came mainly from the Lamanites, and chiefly from among the rising generation. This means they were mainly teenagers, likely between the age of 14 to 18.

These dissentions continued for many years and the Robbers continued to grow in strength until their numbers rivaled those of the Nephites.
