Change: Russia becomes a European power by taking western European ideals in. First time Russia gets access to warm water ports and defeats an army such as Sweden's. The church is centralized and the country consolidates under Peter. First Russian navy.
Continuity: Russia still remains a little weaker than other parts of Europe but is catching up. Religion remains as mostly Eastern Orthodox. Balance of power doesn't change/
