Largely due to this free mixing of the peoples there was also an increase in missionary work. The faithful Lamanites, having been so thoroughly converted, began to travel among the Nephites to try and preach the gospel and share their faith and conversion with them.

It was also at this time that Nephi and Lehi traveled into the Land North as missionaries to try and set the church in order in those lands of the Nephites.
